Scrappy Birds Stained Glass Workshop

Try your hand at stained glass art in this beginner-friendly class Friday October 16th at 5:00 PM @Art Workz Creative Studio (11 Chestnut st. 2nd floor Amesbury, MA) and create two whimsical scrappy birds using colorful glass pieces. No experience necessary-just curiosity and creativity!

These birds may be scrappy,but they are stylin' too! Your stained glass project will look beautiful in your house and even better-it is created by YOU!

In this workshop you will learn to copper foil and solder your own stained glass butterfly plant stake! With pre-cut glass pieces, you will use copper foil, flux, solder, and wire to create your one-of-a-kind piece.  All supplies will be provided! Colors vary, and will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis. Your piece will be finished and ready to take home by the end of class.

 

Supply Breakdown-

Pre-cut glass pieces, Copper foil, leaded solder, flux, and wire!

Tools Provided-

Copper foil burnishing fids, soldering irons, fume extractors, rubber gloves, safety glasses

 

**Optional: Plan to bring a small box (around 6x6x6''high)to transport your amazing stained glass art piece. 

Directions to get to Art Workz Creative Studio:

Address: 11 Chestnut St. 2nd Floor Amesbury, MA  (The name of the building is CI Works-We are working to get a large sign out on the buildling)

Studio name: Art Workz Creative Studio 

Enter the main door in the Chestnut St. parking lot. Go up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Walk straight past the offices until you reach the CI Works cafeteria. Walk across the cafeteria to the right-hand side, and you will see the entrance to Fling Golf. Go into the Fling Golf area and take an immediate left. There will be a hallway with Fling Golf shirts and some workshop materials. Keep walking straight until you see another entrance. This is the entrance to Art Workz Creative Studio. These directions sound more complicated than they are!  Basically, our studio space is on the opposite side of the building entrance.

Terms & Conditions:

***Once your order has been submitted, due to the customizations of ALL of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS FOR WORKSHOPS.

***Each guest attending the workshop must have a ticket due to limited space and materials.

If you cancel within 48 hours of placing your order your FULL reservation fee will be turned into a store credit that can ONLY be used for a future workshop.

If you can not attend a workshop you have registered for you have 2 options:

  1. We can package up your project with instructions & tools needed so you can complete at home
  2.  You can MOVE YOUR SEAT and project to a future workshop date (within 30 days of your original date) for a $20 seat transfer fee

PLEASE NOTE: you can NOT swap your original project for a different project.

** You must EMAIL us at: Renee@hsnewburyport.com if you can not attend a workshop.  If you do not show up for a workshop and do not notify us, you forfeit your payment & project.  We only hold projects for up to 60 days - after 60 days you forfeit your payment & project.

How to Register

  1. Choose your project and design options from the drop down menu.
  2. If applicable include any relevant personal information needed to complete your stencil such as name or date.
  3. Confirm and Agree to our policies and terms.
  4. Add to Cart and checkout.

Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production of your personalized stencil. If you would like to cancel your reservation, you must give a minimum of 48 hour notice.

Please note a restocking fee of 30% of the total amount of the workshop will be deducted from your refund. Same day cancellations or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellations will be processed on the day we receive your cancellation request. It may take up to 2 weeks for the refund to return to the account you used to purchase your items.

Hammer & Stain reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered
guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public
workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to
approval.


By completing registration you are agreeing to these terms.

Personalization & Wood Policy

I confirm that all design choices and/or personalized information is correct and I understand that no changes can be made once this reservation is placed. This is a WOOD workshop so your project will have random cracks, chips, knots, and other natural blemishes that give it it's characteristics. Some peeling may occur. We will do our best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional. Please keep in mind, no piece is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted but it will certainly be wall worthy!
